Network card and modem are another important features that should be considered. It is recommended to go for internal PC-CARD. Most of the laptop comes with standard sound card that is enough for the users. Finally, a laptop should have at least two USB ports.

External Hard Drive: Since laptops are smaller, you usually can’t store as many files as on a desktop computer. This means you might want to carry an external hard drive for extra space. This really is only necessary if you own a lot of music or picture files.

There are lots of other accessories you can buy for your laptop, like a back-up battery or cleaning supplies, but this list presents the basics. How to Use a WiFi Connection

A lot of devices have the ability to connect to the Internet through a WiFi connection. This is a great service because it enables a person to get on the Internet without having to be plugged into a phone line, router, or other device – everything is wireless. Follow These Steps to Connect to a WiFi Connection:

Step One: Make sure that you are within range of a WiFi connection. You can pay to have one in your home or you can go to a public place that offers one for free. Most government buildings, hospitals, and libraries, as well as many retail stores and coffee shops offer them for free.

Step Two: Turn on Your wireless connection so that your WiFi technology can pick up on the signal. You should see a wireless symbol in the bottom right of your screen if it is working.

Step Three: Open up Your Internet Connection Wizard and select the network you want to connect to. You might be required to enter a password, in which case you will need to talk to the owner of the WiFi connection.

Step Four: Wait for the connection to turn green and open an Internet browser to make sure it worked.

Some devices are more complicated when it comes to connecting to a WiFi connection. So, if the steps in this guide do not work, consult with your user manual or find more specific guides on the Internet. WiFi is a great resource, so you’ll want to be able to use it if you have the ability.
